We met many years ago in college, but didn’t become friends until we both received our first job together. Oh did we get into trouble talking too much and discussing how much we had in common. It wasn’t just our love for paper and potatoes that made us friends, our personalities just click. But don’t let us steer you wrong, we are not design twins. We are complete opposites, starting with our birthdays which are exactly 6 months apart and ending with our design preferences. We share the same goals by loving both who we’re with and what we do for a living.
Our invitations are not traditional or conventional in anyway because we aren't. We offer something unique for couples who want to push the edge and announce your love through color and distinctive design.
Get To Know Us
What inspires you? { c } I feel happy and inspired when I am surrounded by the pretty landscape Washington has to offer. One minute you can be on the beach and the next enjoying a hike in the mountains. I find great inspiration thumbing through magazines, playing with fun color combinations, and bouncing ideas off of Kory. { k } Paper stores (I can say that for the both of us) the world wide web, and help from my mother.
What is your favorite color combo? { k } I go with the seasons, spring and summer - greens and pinks, fall and winter - oranges and blues and I always love to pair everything up with chocolate brown. { c } I can’t limit myself to one color combo. I love when colors just click when you are working on a project and you feel confident every one will love it.
Favorite food? { c } I LOVE potatoes, cheese, pasta & chocolate. { k } When ever faced with this question I think of this... What if you had one last meal, what would it be? For me, a huge baked potato with lots of butter and cheese, french fries, hashbrowns with everything on it, mashed potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes, add some cheese to it all and a side of bread. I would die happy! Oh don’t forget a glass of wine.
What makes you laugh? { c } Me! (I just laughed writing that) { k } I surround myself with funny! That is why I hang out with Corinne. I love funny T.V., Will Ferrell, my family and friends are all hilarious, wearing socks with sandals, and tasteless humor or like my mom says a good “poop story”.
Funny words you like? { k } Electronical (I made it up and I use it). { c } Snarky.
Favorite things to do? { c } Drink mocha lattes, laugh, hang out by the river in the mountains with my husband and my dog, Mandy, and go dancing with Kory. { k } Go to the beach, go out for breakfast, hang out at pet stores, visit friends & family and go dancing.
Describe yourself: { k } Caring, easy going, old-fashioned and “normal”. { c } Fun, sassy, quirky, mischievous.
Wedding day words of advice: { c } If something goes wrong, don't let it ruin your day. You've spent too much time preparing for this day to waste it on something you can't fix now. Laugh it off. Chances are no one will notice. { k } Don’t forget to use the restroom before you go down the aisle and also don’t forget to thank your parents, the day of, for all they have done for you.
Something I say often: { k } “No worries” and “what do you want for dinner?” { c } “Think positive” “Really?” and “Love It!”
Early bird or night owl? { c } Early bird - I like getting up around 7:30 so I can get a lot done before noon so I have the rest of the day and evening to design. { k } Night owl - I do my best work at 11:30 pm.
Nickname: { c } Ricci. { k } Beans.
Any pet peeves? { c } When people say they'll do something and they don't, argh! { k } I do that a lot to Corinne. : )
Favorite childhood book? { k } The Giant Jam Sandwich. { c } If You Gave a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff.
